Officials at York have hailed their "incredible achievement" after raising nearly £500,000 for charity Macmillan Cancer Support during their season this year.

The track has raised £487,677 during their 2022 campaign, which included the annual Macmillan charity raceday in June, and a cheque was presented to Macmillan's president Lady Halifax at its final fixture last Saturday.

The raceday also included the Macmillan 'Ride of their Lives' charity race, which was won by trainer Julie Camacho's daughter Samantha Brown on Shake A Leg, with the 11 riders who took part raising over £110,000 towards the overall total.
