Welcome to the new Racing Post app

Since 1986, when the Racing Post newspaper was born, our mission has been simple: to provide horseracing punters and enthusiasts with the best data, insight and information available, in the most convenient ways possible.

We've come a long way in the last 36 years. While the newspaper remains a key part of what we do, we now also reach a vast digital audience from Britain, Ireland, and across the globe, who access our content via a dizzying array of devices, formats and platforms.

Perhaps the most important of all these platforms is our app, which first launched in 2010 and is used daily by hundreds of thousands of racing bettors, fans and professionals. While our app had changed a lot in the intervening period, the technology it was based on had become outdated and difficult to update. A change was needed.

A team of journalists, researchers, betting experts, user experience designers, product managers and developers have rebuilt the app from the ground up, focusing on adding new functionality and creating a fast, attractive and easy-to-use platform. Crucially, it's also a flexible base to build on, meaning we'll be able to add new features and act on your feedback quickly.

First, let me give you a quick overview of the app. Our 'Home' screen is the centrepiece of the new experience. You can use it to quickly reach upcoming races, latest results, any of today's racecards and access the latest and most important news, tipping and features.

The 'Racing' screen offers a combined view of all today's racecards and results, which can be ordered by course or time, or even filtered to only show jumps or Flat cards, as you prefer.

One of the best features is our odds comparison tool, which you'll find on the racecards when you tap any bet button. This will allow you to compare the odds available from seven of the most popular bookmakers, then place your bet directly with your chosen provider without leaving the app, all in a completely seamless and secure process. The odds comparison tool also works for multiples and accumulators, meaning you can secure the best price whatever your bet, and naturally all wagers qualify for Best Odds Guaranteed.

You'll also find lots of key information, data and exclusive Racing Post insight on our racecards, and can watch every race live if you're logged into your bookmaker – you can do that by tapping the 'Account' button then selecting My Bookmaker Accounts. You'll find an extensive help section under the Account button too.

The 'News' screen is home to all our fantastic racing content, including breaking news, tipping, race previews and lots of entertaining reads from our award-winning team of journalists, writers and tipsters. This section contains all the coverage users of our old app enjoyed, plus many new features and app exclusives, all presented in an attractive, modern style making for a more pleasant reading experience.

Our latest feature is our revolutionary racecard Smart View, powered by Artificial Intelligence and crafted by experts. The unique and innovative scoring system makes reading a racecard effortless and has had notable success, including a 25-1 winner at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.

Members' Club subscribers can access our vast array of premium content, top tipping from the likes of Pricewise and Paul Kealy, brilliant features and interviews, plus you can watch replays and even follow the racing live. If you don't have access to these features on your version of the app, please update via the App Store or Google Play.
