Robbie Wilders thinks he has identified the true Grade 1 staying chase prospect in the Scilly Isles Novices' Chase
Robbie Wilders digs out the value at Sandown this weekend

The Scilly Isles is the third Grade 1 novice chase of the season in Britain and promises to be a much deeper affair than the first two.
Those two contests, the Henry VIII and Kauto Star, contained only nine runners between them and were snared by winning odds-on favourites in L’Eau Du Sud and The Jukebox Man. Everything will be odds-against here, and evidence of this race's depth is Mark Of Gold’s position as rank outsider given he landed a Grade 2 novice chase at Ascot last time.
The decision to put Impaire Et Passe in as the early favourite is understandable, but possibly incorrect. Hurdles and chase form should be treated as separate entities and Impaire Et Passe, by some way the leading hurdler in the line-up, is yet to match those levels over fences. He picked up a weak Grade 1 at Limerick over Christmas and faces a different calibre of opponent now.
