We should be excited about this running of the Betfair Chase. Ten entries at the five-day stage is better than the norm and the market suggests there could be a changing of the guard at the top of the staying chase game.
Young pretender Grey Dawning dominates the betting ahead of his first start in an open Grade 1 despite the fact he faces 2023 Betfair winner Royale Pagaille and the past two King George scorers Bravemansgame and Hewick.
Winners of the Charlie Hall, The Real Whacker, and Old Roan, Minella Drama, add further depth along with Ahoy Senor, who only two starts back gave Gerri Colombe a fright in the Bowl at his beloved Aintree.
