The top two at the head of the market in the Long Walk Hurdle are worth taking on
The Long Walk is easily the race of the season so far in the staying hurdling division and it is impossible to argue against Strong Leader being a deserving favourite.
He has raised his game since exploring staying trips, backing up his Cleeve Hurdle third with convincing victories in the Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree and Long Distance at Newbury to prepare for the Long Walk.
The only horse who can match the Racing Post Rating Strong Leader earned at Aintree is Langer Dan, who is seemingly around 20lb superior in the spring and is unproven as a stayer.
