'It was hard not to be impressed by his hurdling debut' - our expert panel assess the weekend racing

Five experts give their views on the key races and the best bets

Who do you expect to come out on top in the Fact To File/Galopin Des Champs rematch in the Savills Chase (2.35 Leopardstown)?

Paul Binfield, Paddy Power This has the potential to be a real Christmas cracker and I’m siding with age and experience in Galopin Des Champs. He might have been beaten by Fact To File last time, but he is five from six at Leopardstown and can turn around the form.

Liam Headd, Lambourn correspondent The John Durkan was an absolute enthralling battle and I’m looking forward to these two heavyweights taking each other on again. Although Fact To File came out on top that day, I’m siding with Galopin Des Champs at a track he just relishes. He’s won his last five starts here, including in last year’s race, and Punchestown would have brought him on an awful lot, whereas Fact To File is going to need another career-best to win again.

Paul Jacobs, tipster Since being turned over by Appreciate It in a novice hurdle, Galopin Des Champs is five from five over fences at Leopardstown and Team Mullins look as though they'll make this a real test, which may suit him more than Fact To File.
