'He's improving at a rapid rate and I fancy him to go well' - Gemma Tutty and Gina Bryce join our expert panel

Who wins the Cesarewitch (3.40 Newmarket)?

Gina Bryce, broadcaster Samui is my each-way pick. He was well held on slower ground here last time but has posted some good efforts since being switched to the Flat over staying distances. He might be worth chancing at a big price to improve over this longer trip.

James Knight, Coral Manxman is my pick. He's notched up a pretty remarkable record in handicaps, winning six out of ten and never finishing outside the first three. He's a half-brother to Dubai Honour, which suggests he may not be done improving yet, and we know from his four victories at 2m-plus that he's a rock-solid stayer.

Jonny Pearson, handicapper The winner is most likely to be Irish-trained and the form from their Cesarewitch can come to the fore. Sixandahalf was a good third that day and looks well treated as a result. This looks a more winnable race and I can see him coming out on top under Robert Whearty.
