'He is impossible to oppose' - our expert panel assess the Dublin Racing Festival and weekend racing

1. Are you with or against Galopin Des Champs in the Irish Gold Cup (3.30) at Leopardstown?
Jamie McBride, William Hill trader It is hard to see why he wouldn't confirm the form of his run here at Christmas. Fact To File can race keenly and his optimum trip might prove short of this distance. I have a lot of time for Embassy Gardens and could see running well to make the frame.
Jonny Pearson, RP handicapper He is impossible to oppose. Iām a big fan of Fact To File and was very impressed with Embassy Gardens when he beat Montyās Star last time, but if Galopin Des Champs is able to replicate his Savills Chase performance or his showing in the same race last year then he should be a comfortable winner.
Adrian Wall, Irish tipster I might be clutching at straws but I'm a huge Fact To File fan and I think he'll lay down a proper challenge to Galopin Des Champs this time. Although impressive, the favourite ran a few pounds below his best in this race in 2023 and 2024 (Racing Post Ratings of 174 and 178) and Fact To File is still lightly raced over fences. At the prices, I'm willing to side with the JP McManus-owned runner.
