Clifford Lee and Natalie Green join our expert panel, who are largely in agreement on who will win the Chester Stakes

Who wins the Solario Stakes?

Paul Binfield, Paddy Power John and Thady Gosden could have a good one on their hands with Field Of Gold and he’s expected to justify favouritism. He looked a Group winner in the making when an easy scorer at Newmarket’s July course over seven furlongs and he holds plenty of eyecatching entries, including the Dewhurst.

Olly Eden, deputy weeklies editor The Gosdens can enhance their fine race record with Field Of Gold. Far too green to do himself justice behind a subsequent Listed winner on debut, he took a big step forward to power clear of his rivals in a traditionally strong Newmarket maiden on his second start. That form has some substance and Sandown's uphill finish should really suit him.

Natalie Green, broadcaster It's hard to go against Field of Gold. He's highly regarded and improvement looks guaranteed. He was impressive first time out, travelling with purpose, then won a good maiden at Newmarket. He was an expensive purchase at €530,000 as a foal and as you’d expect he holds some nice entries to finish off the season.
