Relief for Hammond after Guest comes the rescue as horsebox breaks down
Micky Hammond had Richard Guest to thank for his winner at Market Rasen on Friday after his fellow trainer came to the rescue when his horsebox carrying Rory And Me broke down on the way to the track.
Guest, who was more than happy to help an old friend, said: "Micky's horsebox went into limp mode and thankfully we're only based a couple of miles away so he got in touch.
"Luckily the horse required an identical box, and Micky and I are good pals so we're always happy to help in situations like that, and it was nice to see him have a winner."

Hammond said: "Fair do's to Richard Guest, he got us out of trouble there. I'd like to think we'd have done the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot."
Of the impressive bumper winner, Hammond added: "Rory And Me is a bit weak and backward, but is well bred and related to Group winners. We have the option of trying to make a jumper out of him as he certainly jumped over the path on the track!"
