Tiger who? New McManus buy from France storms to the top of Cross Country market
They have won the last four runnings but Tiger Roll and Easysland were deposed at the top of some ante-post lists for the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase on Sunday by a French recruit who has yet to set foot in his new yard.
Racing manager Frank Berry confirmed at Fairyhouse that six-year-old Prengarde has been bought for JP McManus and was on his way to join banks maestro Enda Bolger after winning five times in six cross-country races for Guillaume Macaire and Hector de Lageneste.
Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook and William Hill all made Prengarde their 5-1 market leader, while he was no bigger than 7-1 elsewhere on Sunday evening.
