Three horses to watch at Lingfield and Hamilton tonight
After a busy afternoon of racing, attention switches to Hamilton and Lingfield this evening, here are three horses who could be of interest.
There has been a move in the 6.05 for William Muir's Peace And Plenty, who is into 10-1 (from 14), so the fact that Archie Watson's Full Suit has still hardened at the head of affairs reflects a strong market confidence.
The four-year-old is into 7-4 (from 11-4) for a yard that has saddled six winners and as many seconds from 21 runners in the last fortnight.
Oisin Murphy comes from Newmarket to ride this course and distance winner who was squeezed out and left with no chance here last time.
With that in mind Swiss Air, by Oasis Dream out of Swiss Lake, is of interest. She's a full sister to three-time Listed winner Swiss Dream and a half sister to Group 3 scorers Swiss Diva and Swiss Spirit, so the bar is set a fair bit higher than novice company.
The William Haggas-trained, Lordship Stud-owned juvenile has some decent form having been beaten just a neck when sent off the 11-8 favourite over a furlong further last time. If the drop to the minimum trip has the desired effect she should run a big race.
Oriental Tiger has been off the track since July 2016. He was last seen winning his second race in three starts for Iain Jardine as a progressive five-year-old.
Now trained by Mike Smith, and 5lb higher than for that latest two and a half-length success, there is an obvious question mark surrounding his race readiness. But it will be great to have him back and interesting to see how he gets on.
