Technological overcomes leg issues to notch first win for Milton Harris
Tuesday: Exeter
Technological overcame past leg issues to record his first career win over obstacles for trainer Milton Harris in the 2m½f feature handicap hurdle.
The seven-year-old led approaching the last under Kevin Jones and pulled away on the run-in to win by three and a quarter lengths from Thahab Ifraj.
Harris said: "One of the problems is he's had a few leg issues in the past and we've never run him on fast ground, we've tried to avoid it to help him.
"The jockey said he loved it and he's quickened up and won a shade cosy. That's the first time I've seen him show speed like that. He just goes through the motions and he'll win again on that run."
The Wiltshire trainer, who continues to enjoy a fruitful season, was full of praise for Jones, but admitted he does not give the jockey an easy time.
"I'm both Kevin's worst critic and best ally," he said. "The idea was to follow through the leader, they didn't get racing until three out. It's so easy to criticise jockeys, but I thought it was a good ride."
In-form pair
Evan Williams and Adam Wedge completed a 38-1 double, taking the Welsh trainer past 50 winners for the season.
The pair took the novice selling hurdle as Ring The Moon made it back-to-back wins, and they later brought up the double when To Be Sure ran out a two-and-a-half-length winner in the 2m7f handicap hurdle.
