Shane Foley hopes he has a "big chance" of adding a British Classic to his growing CV when he partners Discoveries in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket next Sunday, with the Jessica Harrington-trained filly pleasing the rider at home.

Foley is a dual Guineas winner on home soil, landing the 1,000 Guineas on Jet Setting in 2016 and 2,000 Guineas on Romanised two years later. The Cheveley Park Stakes, Prix Marcel Boussac, Matron Stakes, two Phoenix Stakes and last year's Moyglare Stud Stakes triumph on Discoveries complete the 33-year-old’s Group 1 collection.

A sister to the top-class Alpha Centauri, Discoveries is 6-1 second favourite ahead of her trip to the Rowley Mile to take on the unbeaten Tenebrism.
