Saudi Cup winner Mishriff will return to the Middle East to appear on World Cup night at Meydan on March 27 but not as expected in the Dubai World Cup, for which he is currently ante-post favourite.

Instead owner Prince Faisal and trainer John Gosden have accepted an invitation to run the four-year-old in the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic on the same card for which he has been given an opening quote of just 7-4 by Paddy Power.

Mishriff has shown his versatility by winning both on turf and artificial surfaces during a career that received a significant earnings boost when he won the $20 million Saudi Cup last month.
