Ruby Walsh: Rachael has everything but I already knew that before the festival

Ruby Walsh lauded Champion Hurdle-winning rider Rachael Blackmore for having "the whole package", although the most successful jockey in Cheltenham Festival history said he learnt nothing new about the star who stole the show on jump racing's biggest week.

That is because Walsh, the only rider to better Blackmore's tally of six winners at a festival, already knew she was something special.

Blackmore became the first female jockey to be crowned leading rider at the festival on Friday when Quilixios brought her tally to six in the JCB Triumph Hurdle, sugarcoating a sensational week for the 31-year-old, who began it by winning the Champion Hurdle on Honeysuckle.
