Jockey Club and Dubai Racing announce new partnership

The Jockey Club has announced a partnership with the Dubai Racing Club that will see each organisation sponsor new races this year.

A handicap sprint at Newmarket's July festival will now bear the Dubai Racing Club name, with representatives from the organisation set to travel to Britain for the contest on July 11.

In Dubai, the Jockey Club will become the sponsors of the 7f Jumeirah Stakes, a £65,000 turf contest held at Meydan on January 3, with the intention the two racing groups will promote their corresponding jurisdictions.

Sophie Able, the Newmarket Racecourses and international director for the Jockey Club, said: "We're delighted to be partnering with Dubai Racing Club in 2025, and to be working together to promote each other's race programmes to our horsemen, existing racegoers, followers of the sport and to new fans."
