Richard Kingscote gives up Dascombe role to pursue opportunities with Stoute
One of British racing's most established Flat partnerships has come to an end with Richard Kingscote choosing to relinquish his role as Tom Dascombe's stable jockey to pursue greater opportunities with Sir Michael Stoute.
Kingscote has ridden for Dascombe since 2007 and went with the trainer when he took over the reins at Manor House Stables – the Cheshire training complex set up by Michael Owen and Andrew Black – two years later.
The Oxfordshire-based jockey has dovetailed his retainer with Dascombe by riding for a large number of other trainers including Stoute, for whom he has a 20 per cent strike-rate (29-148) in the last five years.
