Would you side with Snowfall or Love if they go head-to-head?
'Clear preference would be for Snowfall'
I'd imagine they will be kept apart in the immediate future, with the Arc probably the earliest opportunity for the pair to lock horns. If the ground was deemed suitable for Love to run at Longchamp, which is a coin toss at this stage, clear preference would be for Snowfall in receipt of 7lb. I've been more impressed with her Group 1 strikes than Love's three last season, and she is less ground dependent than her stablemate. Were they to clash on fast going in the Breeders' Cup Turf I'd also favour Snowfall with the weight-for-age allowance.

'A head-to-head would be a sight to behold'
Given the weight-for-age allowance I would narrowly side with Snowfall after yet another Group 1 demolition. Did she beat much in the Irish Oaks? Probably not, but that was because any credible opposition had been scared off and she could not have been any more impressive. That would not be to write off Love, whose comeback win from a 300-day absence in the Prince of Wales’s was spectacular, and a head-to-head between the pair would be a sight to behold, but Snowfall is currently tracking ahead of even where last year’s star filly was 12 months ago.

'You'd have to fancy Love if it was quick'
It would obviously be very dependent on the ground. You'd have to fancy Love on a quick surface as I didn't think Snowfall looked as happy on Saturday as she did at Epsom. She was far too powerful for the rest at the Curragh, but she looked much more smooth in the soft last month and I'd be surprised if we see her run on ground as quick as that in future. I'd be targeting the two fillies at different races in the autumn. Love could go to the United States for the Breeders' Cup, while it's got to be all about the Arc for Snowfall.
