We were promised a John Durkan Chase like no other and that is exactly what we got. Nobody saw this one coming, that's for sure.

Min won it again. At least I think he did. Patrick Mullins said so, and so too did the judge, Jennifer Walsh. That was the main thing. Quite how he created history by becoming the first three-time winner of the race remains a mystery to the rest of us.

The most professional amateur in the business, who was winning his 15th Grade 1, was absolutely gutted when we told him afterwards that we saw little of the remarkable feat.
