'We could look at the November meeting' – Cheltenham a possibility for Wade Out as in-form Olly Murphy bags two more winners
Olly Murphy's blistering run of form continued with a double on the card, headlined by Wade Out netting his hat-trick in the opening division of the 2m novice hurdle.
The five-year-old, whose owners include legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, had won a point-to-point and a Market Rasen bumper previously and maintained his perfect record on his hurdles bow.
His length-and-a-half success took Murphy's strike-rate in the last fortnight to a red-hot 31 per cent, and the trainer told Sky Sports Racing: "The novice hurdlers have started the season well so long may they continue.
"Wade Out's a likeable horse who doesn't wow you at home, but he saves his best for the track. He's very laid-back but has a great attitude and hopefully this is the start of a nice hurdles campaign for him.
"We could certainly look at Cheltenham's November meeting as he's very professional now – nothing is going to faze him. I'm chuffed with how things are going."
Murphy and jockey Sean Bowen also scored with Resplendent Grey in the 2m4f novice handicap chase.
Wadham boosts track record
Lucy Wadham enhanced her terrific recent course record with Pretending's success in the feature 2m4f handicap hurdle.
The five-year-old was an impressive winner at Cheltenham in April and made the perfect comeback here to win by a length and three-quarters under Gavin Sheehan.
She took Wadham's strike-rate at the Staffordshire track in the last five seasons to 33 per cent, while Sheehan doubled up when Prolific Profile completed his hat-trick in the 2m handicap hurdle.
