Monday: Lingfield

Neil Callan's rush to make it for his only ride of the day despite heavy traffic paid off handsomely when Tyger Bay made up for the pair's course defeat last time out with a game success in the 6f handicap.

The pair were a luckless fourth over course and distance last month having missed the break, but they enjoyed a smooth passage this time around to win comfortably by two and a half lengths.

"I can't tell people what I told Conrad when I came in last time, it wasn't for pretty listening!" the winning jockey told Sky Sports racing. "He went down so sharp last time and I thought it was the right race for him, but he walked out the gates for me and we were too far back and challenged too wide.

"I should have won on him the last start and I felt like I rode him upside down. I only just made it here with all the traffic, but I was confident he'd win."

Gigi's good again

Gigi's Beach bounced back to winning ways and kept up his fine resurgence for trainer Alice Haynes with a brave win in the mile handicap.

The five-year-old made it three wins from five starts since switching to the Newmarket trainer, who also owns her, with a half-length success under Thore Hammer Hansen.

Hat-trick heroes

Prolific pair Appier and Simply Sondheim completed their quick-fire hat-tricks with battling victories in the opening 1m4f handicap and 1m2f handicap respectively.
