Triptico ends five year winless drought with brave win

Although Triptico had not won under Rules since December 2012, the 11-year-old proved the answer to the 2m6½f handicap chase when rallying back past Hansupfordetroit for a short-head verdict under Richie McLernon.
The winner is trained by Alexandra Dunn for her sister Roz Smith-Maxwell and she said: “All the credit must go to Alex and the yard as they have rejuvenated an older horse and made him enthusiastic again.
“The horse is made to feel a million dollars at home by the team at West Buckland near Wellington in Somerset and he has put his heart on the line as he really battled back in the gamest style when headed by the other horse.”
