Duchess delight: Camilla cheers on Pacify on maiden visit to Kempton
Many a new summer jumping sensation has hit the buffers when coming up against hardened winter performers, but not so one of the crop of this year’s midsummer Pacify as he stretched his unbeaten run over hurdles to five with success in the Listed novice hurdle at Kempton.
Cheered on by his owner-breeder Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Pacify took his customary position in front and, despite a few novicey jumps, proved too classy for another winning machine Longhouse Sale.
Winning trainer Jamie Snowden is looking onwards and upwards with a Grade 2 date at Cheltenham next month the next stop.
