'She's as tough a filly as I've ever had anything to do with' - Hugo Palmer salutes tough It Ain't Two after Listed success
The eight months of It Ain't Two's career came full circle when she returned to the track where she broke her maiden to land the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes in gritty fashion – and a trip to the US could be on the cards this Christmas.
The juvenile filly made a winning debut on the Rowley Mile back in April and has plied her trade admirably in decent contests since, with wins at Carlisle and Chester as well as gallant seconds in the Dragon and Rockingham Stakes at Listed level.
This time she managed to get her nose in front, grabbing the lead under Harry Davies at the furlong pole and fighting off the Jessica Harrington-trained Kodilicious to score by a nose.
"I'm delighted and she's as tough a filly as I've ever had anything to do with," said trainer Hugo Palmer. "That was her 13th start. She caught us by surprise a bit when she won on her debut in April, but she's answered every call since then.
"I wouldn't bet against her training on. She's so tough and I think she'll grow a bit. What we do with her next I don't know – we might see if there are any Californian options for her next month."
Mac marches on
Marching Mac continued his journey up the handicap ranks with a half-length success over Bang On The Bell in the 5f handicap. It was his third consecutive victory and fifth since September.
