She's A Star showed real battling qualities under Colin Keane to land the two-mile maiden at Navan for local trainer Noel Meade.

A race won by some illustrious names in the past, this year’s renewal threw up a thrilling finish, with the filly digging deep to upset the odds-on favourite, Vigil.

A bumper and hurdle winner already, She’s A Star was having just her fourth start and her trainer admitted he has yet to find out just how good Colin Keane's mount is. "I didn't really know what to expect to be honest," Meade said of the four-year-old.
