Presenting Percy doesn't disappoint and deserves to be Gold Cup favourite
Finally the mud was flying in Ireland at Gowran Park on Thyestes day and that meant Presenting Percy came out to play, having gone missing since romping home in last season’s RSA at the Cheltenham Festival.
He certainly did not disappoint in defending his 2018 success in the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle, seeing off closing rivals despite idling after hitting the front after two out.
In doing so he became the first winner of the race on seasonal return for a long time and the performance can also be upgraded because he covered a lot of ground, with regular pilot Davy Russell exploring a wide passage in order to find the best going.
