Order Of St George completes hat-trick of St Leger Trial wins
Order Of St George smoothly accounted for his five rivals in the Group 3 Comer Group International Irish St Leger, winning the event for the third consecutive year.
Ryan Moore guided the dual Group 1 winner to a four-and-three-quarter-length success from Rekindling after which Paddy Power cut the Aidan O'Brien-trained five-year-old to 5-2 favourite (from 7-2) for the Long Distance Cup at Ascot on British Champions Day in October.
O'Brien was attending the Arqana Yearling Sales in Deauville but Moore was impressed by Order Of St George's performance on his first start since failing narrowly to land a second Gold Cup in June.
