New trainer 'delighted' as Tylicki-bought Sealed Offer gives yard first winner

Belgian trainer Kevin Philippart de Foy had an afternoon to savour at Lingfield as he landed his first winner since starting his own operation when Sealed Offer took division two of the 7f fillies' novice race.

The two-year-old was picked up in October's Tattersalls Sales by German jockey-turned-bloodstock agent Freddy Tylicki and was having her first attempt at seven furlongs.

"I'm delighted especially as this was her first start for us, but I was worried at the start," said the trainer, who is based in Newmarket, on Sealed Offer, who had been reluctant to load in the stalls.

"She went in fine at home but I don't know the filly that well as we have only had her a few weeks. We thought when we bought her she might get the extra furlong and it's great when you're right on these things."

Moore double on return

Ryan Moore had his first rides since landing a Group 1 double in Hong Kong on Sunday and he returned to domestic action with a bang as promising two-year-old Possible Man, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, took the mile novice.

Moore then continued a successful, yet infrequent partnership with Newmarket trainer John Butler in the 7f handicap. Mustaqqir took the spoils for the pair, who have combined only three times but have been successful on each occasion.

Lucky escape

Richard Kingscote had a narrow escape in the 6f handicap when his mount Blessed To Empress clipped heels and unseated the current all-weather leading jockey, throwing him across the track.

Horse and jockey were reported fine, although Kingscote was stood down from his one remaining ride on the card.
