Bruff-based trainer Jack Bennett celebrated his first winner and did it at his local track, as Dancing After Dark had all the right moves in the 3m handicap hurdle.

Bennett is best known for breaking and pre-training horses but Dancing After Dark, the only horse he has in training under rules, scored in great style at 16-1 under Philip Donovan.

The winning trainer also bred the mare, so it is a day he won't forget in a hurry.

Queally doubles up

Declan Queally also had a day to remember as he helped himself to a 72-1 double.

Diamond Nora got the ball rolling in the 2m mares' handicap hurdle when pouncing late under Liam McKenna to deny favourite Jeaniemacaroney by a head, while Twentyfourcarrot ran out an emphatic 16-length winner of the bumper for lady riders.

The 5-2 favourite was bounced out in front by Emily Cody and never saw another rival on the way to her wide-margin victory.

McNamara is Dynamite

Eric McNamara continued his fine autumn when 15-8 favourite Hees Dynamite won the 2m5f handicap hurdle under Calum Hogan.
