Top jockey savours Group 1 success for a filly who 'can be quite a handful'
It has not all been plain sailing for Alcohol Free this season, which is why her Sussex Stakes success was so satisfying for Oisin Murphy.
The champion jockey was determined to right a wrong at Glorious Goodwood as he partly blamed himself for Alcohol Free's defeat in the Falmouth Stakes, in which she was third behind Snow Lantern.
That weight was dropped from his shoulders as soon as the pair crossed the line a length and three-quarters in front of Poetic Flair, and the jockey instantly stood up in his saddle and punched the air.
