Jersey Champion Hurdle next on the agenda for Sheena West's versatile Fred Bear

Thursday: Yarmouth
A return to the Channel Islands is on the cards for Sheena West's smart dual-purpose performer Fred Bear after the four-year-old reversed form with Harry The Norseman to take the 1m6f handicap.
Fred Bear, who finished second over hurdles at Les Landes before filling the same position behind Harry The Norseman back on the Flat at Bath last month, made it third time lucky under a bold front-running ride from Rose Dawes to justify 9-4 favouritism.
The 7lb claimer was striking on her first ride for West, and the winning trainer said: "Rose had done her homework and she figured out basically just keep galloping it in the ground.
"I must admit I thought she'd overcooked it for a moment but she knew what she was doing, it was a brilliant ride. He was weighted to reverse it and he did.
"He's off to Jersey for their Champion Hurdle on the 24th. He's not ground or code dependent and has no preference for going left- or right-handed so as a result he just keeps having to run. He is a lovely and very consistent horse."
Davies at the double
Harry Davies's fruitful first season continued as he helped the Charlie Fellowes-trained Dorothee get off the mark in the 6f maiden on the filly's first start on turf.
The burgeoning apprentice then brought up a double after steering Ed Dunlop's By Your Side to a second win in four days following the three-year-old's success at Windsor on Monday night.
It could have been a treble for Davies had he not been denied aboard 11-10 favourite Another Odyssey by the Liam Keniry-ridden Fast Forward for Alan King. The winning pair completed a quickfire double of their own when Paradias took the 1m1f handicap.
