'It's going to take a good one to beat him in the Triumph Hurdle'
Our experts on who impressed them most on Trials day
'She advanced her festival claims'
Brandy Love might have been second in the Solerina Mares' Hurdle at Fairyhouse but I thought she advanced her festival claims more than winner Allegorie De Vassy.
She looked almost unrideable for Paul Townend, jumping markedly out to her left throughout and covering substantially more ground than her more straightforward stablemate.
That she rallied up the run-in and got anywhere near the winner was to her credit. Bookmakers reacted by pushing Brandy Love out in price for the Mares' Novices' Hurdle, which I thought was incorrect, so I got involved at 8-1 for that race.
Brandy Love will be capable of much better on a left-handed track and I still consider her a top prospect.

'He's a Grade 1 calibre juvenile'
On what was an underwhelming trials day, with dead, sapping ground impacting many of the runners, it was Pied Piper who impressed the most in propelling himself to the head of the Triumph market.
He won the Grade 2 juvenile trial in a canter, but he does have the complication of the same connections' Fil Dor also being Triumph-bound, assuming he passes his final test at Leopardstown next weekend.
There was talk of Pied Piper possibly heading for the Supreme instead, but that would be a mistake, with the festival opener looking extremely hot. Either way, Pied Piper looks a Grade 1 calibre juvenile.

'He couldn't have won more easily'
It’s unoriginal, but you have to say Pied Piper.
Gordon Elliott is traditionally strong in the juvenile hurdle division and Pied Piper couldn’t have won more easily.
It was shades of Our Conor in the Triumph Hurdle all those years ago as Pied Piper sauntered clear without being asked any kind of question by Davy Russell.
Betfair went 4-1 for the big one straight after the race and were reportedly knocked over in the rush. That’s no surprise as it’s going to take a good one to beat him.
