The unrelenting emotion was guilt. That horrible, nauseating feeling in the pit of your stomach; knowing you were doing something you probably shouldn’t be doing. And, to make it worse, we enjoyed every single second of it. All 68,859 of us.
The most cherished chunk of land in the Cotswolds bathed in glorious sunshine all afternoon.
The eyes of two nations, and possibly even more around Europe, were glued to our jump racing haven for Gold Cup day, and it never looked better. It takes a tan so well when the sun shines.
