Joel Parkinson and Sue Smith's brilliant recent run of form continued when Onesoc sauntered to success in the 2m3f handicap chase.

The eight-year-old eased clear of the four-timer-seeking Ideallko under Peter Kavanagh, who barely had to move a muscle as they registered a seven-and-a-half length win.

Kavanagh told Racing TV: "Joel and Sue's horses are absolutely flying, especially in the last few weeks, and we're delighted with how they're going. I'm glad to be part of the team and getting a few results like this for them.

"I just followed the favourite everywhere as he was the one we all had to beat. I gave him a squeeze three fences out and ended upside him and he's done it very easily in the end."

Onesoc continued Parkinson and Smith's flying start to 2025, having had their first runners on a joint-licence in October. The duo operated at a 26 per cent strike-rate in January, while their strike-rate this month is 21 per cent.

In-form jockey

Jockey Conor Rabbitt took his strike-rate in the last fortnight to 33 per cent with Achnamara's win in the 2m3½f handicap hurdle.

It was the second leg of a double for trainer Phil Kirby, who also struck with Asa's 11-length success in the 3m1f mares' handicap chase.

Track ticked off

Tom Ellis trained his first winner at the track when Tigerbythetail impressively landed the 3m1½f maiden hurdle.
