'I can't see him going off at 14s' - where does the value lie for Epsom?
After a week of trials for the Derby and Oaks, we asked our panel where the value now is for the Epsom Classics?
'I cannot see him going off at 14-1'
Several Aidan O’Brien Derby contenders were sighted this week and although Changingoftheguard was visually impressive, he had things all his own way, and Star Of India in the Dee Stakes caught my eye more.
Granted, that was not a strong race either, but he was shoved along a fair way from home and looks certain to improve when he stretches out to the Derby trip. I cannot see him going off at 14-1 on the day with that in mind.
In terms of the Oaks, nothing from this week has changed my opinion that Agave is the one to watch. If she beats the boys at Saint-Cloud on Sunday, she will no longer be an each-way price.

First two home from Cheshire Oaks look fair value at 16-1 and 14-1 for Classic joy
It's difficult to properly assess the Cazoo Derby picture given we don't know whether Luxembourg is a definite runner at this stage.
If the long-term ante-post favourite ends up missing his June 4 assignment, Ballysax Stakes scorer Piz Badile appeals most for Donnacha O'Brien.
A general 8-1 chance going straight to the world-famous Classic, his form was nicely boosted by Ballysax runner-up Buckaroo at the Curragh on Monday.
As for the Oaks, I liked what I saw from the first two home in the Cheshire Oaks, for all that there may not have been great depth to the race beyond the leading duo.
'We're likely to head to Epsom' - classy Thoughts Of June enters Oaks picture
The 16-1 about well-bred winner Thoughts Of June looks more than fair, while Above The Curve is bound to have learned a bundle from her first start outside of maiden company. She is probably overpriced at 14-1 if connections opt to target Epsom.

'She could shorten further'
None of the past week’s Derby trial winners have particularly taken my fancy for Epsom and so I will be watching the upcoming action at Leopardstown and York with great interest. Given his Group 1 form as a juvenile, Stone Age is unlikely to be 12-1 should he win the race formerly known as the Derrinstown (4.35 Leopardstown Sunday).
I’m a bit keener on the front of the market for the Oaks at this stage and although Tuesday can boast Group 1 form, I’d rather side with impressive Sandown winner Emily Upjohn at the prices, particularly as she could shorten further following Wednesday’s Musidora Stakes.
