Kieren Fallon praises his son's 'complete dedication' after Group 1 breakthrough

As Cieren Fallon crossed the line to win his maiden Group 1 on Oxted in the July Cup at Newmarket he suspected his multiple champion jockey father would be hiding away somewhere at the racecourse watching the action unfold.

In fact Kieren Fallon, 55, was sitting at home, less than five miles from the course, gripped to the action on the television as his son achieved a feat that had eluded him.

The two Fallons, the son lovingly referred to as ‘Little Cieren’ by the father, had walked the course prior to the July Cup with the winning rider saying his dad’s voice had been in his head as he charged through to a decisive victory.
