Going Remote surged clear and scored at the eighth attempt when landing the Ulster Derby for trainer Jessica Harrington and Nathan Crosse.

The three-year-old, stepped up to 1m5f for the first time, finished clear of 6-1 shot Barnso, who she chased home at Fairyhouse in May.

"That was a very good performance," Crosse told Racing TV. "He's been knocking on the door. He was in his comfort zone today and finished well."

In the previous race, Lady Doris ensured it was an even more memorable 24 hours for Donnacha O'Brien, who scored with Porta Fortuna in the Coronation Stakes on Friday.

The 5-4 favourite, who got off the mark at the third attempt at Navan last month, narrowly denied 14-1 shot Fiver Friday and looks set for bigger targets.

Lady Doris was beaten only a neck on the all-weather at Dundalk in April by Port Fairy, who won the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot this week.

"She was second in her maiden to Port Fairy the other day at Dundalk and was a touch unlucky there," said jockey Gavin Ryan.

"She's never going to be a flash winner as she only does the bare minimum – I just tried not to get there too soon. She seems to have plenty of ability."
