Fehily times his Swing right to floor rivals in feature chase

On a day when Coneygree was the equine headline act with his pre-racing schooling session, Noel Fehily stole the show in the saddle for getting Upswing home in front in the feature 3m handicap chase.

It looked anything but promising for the nine-year-old when he clouted the second-last and long-time leader Abricot De L'Oasis stretched his advantage. But Fehily, biding his time, pounced when his main rival started idling in front. Even then it wasn't over as Upswing also looked reluctant, but Fehily drove the 7-2 shot out for a head success.

The win provided the rider and trainer Jonjo O'Neill with a second consecutive win in the race following Cloudy Copper's victory last year.
