Neil Callan enjoyed a fine afternoon in the Esher sunshine, with exciting juvenile Kullazain kicking off a fantastic 367-1 four-timer.

Kullazain scooted clear of his rivals in the 5f maiden to score by four and a half lengths and his trainer James Tate will consider a step up in class for the 150,000gns breeze-up buy.

"We liked him at the sales but he was a bit of a baby," Tate said. "He had sore shins and he was a bit behind so we've given him time, but we learnt a bit at Ripon and he was impressive here.

"He'll be better next year. He likes soft ground so I suppose we could think about something like the Cornwallis or a Listed race at Chantilly at the end of October."

On his jockey, the trainer said: "Neil is a top rider and he always has been. He just seems to be riding particularly well and there's nothing better than using someone in form."

Callan went on to score aboard Four Adaay for Rod Millman in the 5f handicap and Come On You Spurs for Richard Spencer in the 7f fillies' handicap. He then guided Tipsy Tiger to victory in the concluding 1m2f handicap for William Stone.
