Elimay rights the wrong of last year to give Willie Mullins fabulous five-timer
Friday: Mares' Chase, Cheltenham
Elimay completed a spectacular 1,518-1 five-timer for trainer Willie Mullins on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, going one place better than when second in the same contest 12 months ago.
The grey, ridden by Mark Walsh for owner JP McManus, was the tenth winner of the week for Mullins, who steamrollered his opposition by winning five of the seven races on day four of the festival, with all seven races being won by horses trained in Ireland.
Vauban (Triumph Hurdle), State Man (County Hurdle), The Nice Guy (Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle) and Billaway (Hunters' Chase) had scored prior to Elimay.
Galopin Des Champs, who fell when clear at the last in the Turners Novices' Chase on Thursday, would have made it 11 winners – nearly 40 per cent of the races run at the meeting.

Elimay finished second last year but rallied gamely after the last this time around to get the better of Pink Legend and Scarlet And Dove in a pulsating finish to the penultimate race of the meeting.
David Casey, assistant to Mullins, said: "She's not overly big to be jumping fences but she's really tough, she stays really well and she doesn't know when she's beaten. She's really tough."
Walsh, who was winning his second race of the week after steering Brazil to victory in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle on Tuesday, said: "She has the heart of a lion. She's so small but she's so brave and willing. All she wants to do is please and win for you and that's what she did for me today.
"She gave herself a bit of a fright early and took a bit of time to warm to it, but once I gave her some room in the straight she put her head down and galloped all the way to the line. She loves racing."
