Earthlight a genuine 2,000 Guineas prospect despite presence of Pinatubo
Earthlight retained his unbeaten record in this year's Middle Park with a thoroughly likeable win for Andre Fabre.
The son of Shamardal is now a perfect five from five after winning his second Group 1 of the year and in truth always looked to have matters in hand during the closing stages.
A RPR of 118+ does not tell us a great deal more about Earthlight, whose Prix Morny win continues to work out very well. What we do know is he is a tough horse with smart ability who his master trainer thinks will stay beyond a mile next year. In short, a seemingly strong contender for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas.
