After Grade 1 glory on Saturday, the Dan Skelton team continued their winning ways when Komedy Kicks completed a perfect treble under Harry Skelton.

The yard enjoyed Challow success with exciting novice The New Lion on Saturday and were quickly back among the winners with a rare trip to the Scottish Borders track, spearheaded by hot favourite Ace Of Spades in the 2m6½f novice hurdle.

The five-year-old, who scored at Cheltenham's November meeting, made the trip well worthwhile with a comfortable success over Far From Over, before Beat Box achieved his sixth win from seven starts for the yard in the 2m1f handicap chase.

The day ended on another high when Komedy Kicks powered up the rail to win the 2m2f mares' handicap hurdle.

"I'm delighted with those today," said Dan Skelton, who also reported The New Lion to be "spot on" following his Saturday success. "Ace Of Spades was clear on ratings, so we hoped he'd win. Now we know he gets the trip, it opens lots of options for him.

"Beat Box is just a little star, and Komedy Kicks has had her issues but is clearly getting back to old form. Maybe she can still improve."

Idem enhanced his smart course record with a third win from four starts at the track in the 2m6½f handicap hurdle.

The Lucinda Russell-trained six-year-old was runner-up in a Kelso bumper but has since been unstoppable at the course and saw off I Am Max by a length and a quarter under Patrick Wadge to score at 12-1.
