Two-mile test at the festival could be exactly what A Plus Tard needs
For a second day running at Leopardstown top honours went the way of Rachael Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead courtesy of A Plus Tard’s success in the Grade 1 Paddy's Rewards Club "Loyalty's Dead, Live For Rewards" Chase.
The classy five-year-old shaped as though reverting to further would be ideal when comfortably seen off by Ballyoisin at odds of just 5-4 on his comeback over 2m at Naas in November.
The market screamed that Chacun Pour Soi would prove another rival too speedy, but the race served up a real test from the penultimate fence and the decision to stick to the minimum paid off as he was well on top where it mattered.
