Cesar Et Rosalie and Sam Twiston-Davies proved light on their feet to run off with the feature as the new jumps season kicked off.
Twiston-Davies, who kept up his record of riding 100 winners a season in his first campaign as a freelance, revealed he had ridden the winner in his brother Willie's light Flat riding boots, the week off since the end of last season having made the weight of 10st 4lb a slight squeeze.
Cesar Et Rosalie made light of an amazing bunny-hop at the second-last fence to double his career earnings in one fell swoop and maintain his unbeaten course record on his second visit.
