Adrian Murray saddles one-two as Queens Fury finally gets off the mark at tenth time of asking
Colin Keane steered Queens Fury to victory in the opening 7f maiden as she belatedly got off the mark at the tenth attempt for owners Amo Racing, with Adrian Murray saddling the first two home.
The Blue Point filly had shown plenty in her runs, being placed on four occasions and running in Listed company twice, and put her experience to good use when running out a dominant winner by two and a quarter lengths and justifying 13-8 joint-favouritism, with newcomer Ardagh Red chasing her home for the same stable.
Keane told Racing TV: "It's great to get her off the mark as she has been running well in good maidens all summer. She is a good-actioned filly and handled the surface very well. Amo Racing are a big supporter of racing so it's nice to get a winner for them."
Marvellous McDonogh
Declan McDonogh notched a double on the card as he partnered 4-1 shot Finsceal Annie to a gritty head victory in division one of the 7f handicap for Ciaran Murphy, before striking on the Joseph O'Brien-trained Eyema Candy Girl, who made a winning debut in the 6f maiden at odds of 7-4.
Astage follows up
The World's Astage made it two from two over course and distance this month as the 11-4 joint-favourite defied an 8lb rise to reward plenty of support in the 1m2½f handicap under Ronan Whelan for trainer Diego Dias.
