Red-hot Pricewise: how to get his Cheltenham tips after a super Saturday
Pricewise followers had the perfect tonic before next week's Cheltenham Festival when Tom Segal produced a 93½-1 double on Saturday, including a stunning pick with shock winner Suprise Package in the Paddy Power Imperial Cup.
Segal, whose selections are available to Members' Club Ultimate subscribers and buyers of Saturday's Racing Post newspaper, tipped up the Peter Fahey-trained six-year-old in Saturday's feature contest at Sandown, and he duly obliged when storming clear to a nine-length success at 20-1.
The Racing Post's top tipster then followed up 35 minutes later at the same track when 7-2 shot Luccia was a similar wide-margin winner of the Listed mares' bumper, ending a drought of 20 days without a winner for trainer Nicky Henderson.
While he could not strike with his two other selections at Wolverhampton, he came within three-quarters of a length of landing the treble when 11-4 favourite Happy Power finished second in the Lady Wulfruna Stakes.
It was another piece of fine tipping from Segal this jumps season, having previously produced a stunning 2,267-1 four-timer in December.
It also puts him in top form ahead of Cheltenham, with his tips available via Members' Club Ultimate – online from 6pm every night from Monday ahead of the festival – or in the Racing Post newspaper.
On his Saturday feat, Segal said: "I'm very pleased. Suprise Package is a strong traveller who had been running in races with no luck and I expected him to go very well.
"It's always nice to go into Cheltenham with some confidence, and I hope the luck carries on into next week!"
