'They've just come right' - Tristan Davidson finds form as Iris Dancer strikes

Tristan Davidson's belief in his yard's form proved astute after Iris Dancer ran out a comfortable winner of the 6f fillies' handicap.

The four-year-old flourished in first-time blinkers to score by three and a quarter lengths under Rowan Scott, handing Davidson success with his first runner in over two weeks.

"We have half a dozen nice horses but just over the last fortnight they've come right," Davidson told Racing TV. "It's just been little things, including a change in haylage.

"It doesn't happen overnight but I just feel they've been hitting form and we're hoping for a good end to the season now."

Iris Dancer's first success since May was the third win of the Flat season for Davidson, whose Pearl Of Qatar outran her 28-1 odds to finish fourth.

"They've both run really well and I think the blinkers just made the difference for Iris Dancer," Davidson added. "She's a game horse and always tries her best, and she'll be even better with softer ground. Pearl [Of Qatar] ran a blinder too."

Dead-heat drama

Queenie Rooney and Installation broke their maidens in dramatic fashion after they dead-heated in the opening 5f novice stakes.

The Keith Dalgleish-trained Queenie Rooney powered up the rail under Callum Rodriguez but was unable to inch ahead of Oisin Orr's mount, who handed Richard Fahey his 81st win of the season.

Double up

Paul Mulrennan and Jim Goldie ended the week in fine form with a double in the final two contests of the day.

Lochnaver held on for victory in the 1m4f handicap before A La Francaise took the 1m3f handicap, both winners owned by Summerstorm Bloodstock Ltd.
