Jockey Kevin Jones' career revival continued as Good Bye followed up his runner-up performance in a jumpers' bumper last month with a victory for trainer Milton Harris.

Jones has been plagued by injuries over the last 18 months, only returning to the saddle last November after multiple fractures suffered in a fall at Newton Abbot ruled him out for six weeks.

The jockey rode just one winner in 2020 but has reeled off four successes since January 18, three of which have come for trainer Seamus Mullins.

Jones said: "The last 18 months to a year have been very difficult. I've had three injuries, one of which was very complicated. It put my whole career on hold a bit.

"I felt I'd just started to get things going before the injuries struck so it's nice to get things going again."

Coleman credits Thomas

Aidan Coleman was quick to praise the influential role Sam Thomas has played in his career after riding his first winner for the trainer.

He struck on the 5-2 shot Galileo Silver who has been in good form this season since joining Thomas, winning once and finishing second on three occasions from five starts.

Coleman said: "It's great to have a winner for Sam. I used to ride out for him at Henrietta Knight's after I got my start there.

"Once it was time to move on he helped me get the job with Venetia [Williams, trainer] so he's had a huge influence on my career and I owe him a lot."

Coleman rounded off a satisfactory day by riding the Olly Murphy-trained Strong Glance to victory in the final race of the afternoon.
