Faye McManoman achieves best ever tally as Woodlands Charm follows up
Faye McManoman achieved her best yearly tally when Woodlands Charm took the nursery. The filly was the jockey's 19th winner of the year, with Woodlands Charm's trainer, Nigel Tinkler, responsible for 12 of those successes.
Tinkler said: "It's brilliant to see Faye do well. She's worked with us for years now and she's just kept improving and we're very happy with her. It was very nice to train a winner for the owners and for Faye to ride."
It was the second success at Catterick for the 28-year-old jockey, who began her career in 2017 and secured her previous best total of 18 winners in 2019.
McManoman produced Woodlands Charm – who was following up a win at Ripon – on the rail and the pair comfortably extended to beat Golden Gal by one and a half lengths.
"We're delighted for the filly to win two in a row," Tinkler added. "She's a very nimble horse and we'll see what the handicapper does. She'll go back for another nursery soon with a bit of luck."

Yapham's Group target
Lady Of Yapham may step into Pattern company after breaking her maiden in promising fashion for Graham Lee and trainer Bryan Smart.
The two-year-old was sent off at 20-1 for her third start and finished strongly to win by a ready four and three-quarter lengths from Silky Wilkie.
Connections are considering a possible tilt at the Firth of Clyde Stakes, Scotland's only Group race, in September.
